Meet the Author
Growing up, BeBe watched countless reruns of I Love Lucy. As a child, she enjoyed the show for its
pure entertainment value, never realizing that Lucy’s tenacious spirit lived within her. Her husband
lovingly nicknamed her “Lucy” after they married, recognizing her knack for getting herself into
precarious situations, much like Lucy Ricardo.
One of the most notable challenges was writing her first novel, Living Life in Reverse, while managing
dyslexia and ADD. BeBe decided to step into the social media world because she believed there were
others out there who felt they were living their lives in reverse as well. She saw exposing her insecurities
as a risk worth taking, especially if it could help even one person move forward.
As a social worker, BeBe encouraged others to overcome their fears every day. Over the years, she’s had
the privilege of working with a diverse group of people who’ve overcome extraordinary circumstances.
Their resilience has become her blueprint for living life forward, and she hopes her book will inspire and
uplift them—and others—in a meaningful way.
Lucy would be proud of BeBe for not allowing her disabilities or fears to stifle her story or silence her
voice. By taking the risk to share her learning disabilities and write Living Life in Reverse, BeBe
continues her journey of living life forward, one step at a time.

Reverse is a metaphor for life’s stressors that holds us back from moving forward. This page allows you to share your
thoughts and feelings about those things that keep you stuck in the past as if you are living your life in reverse. I’ll start the
conversation with some of my favorite quotes:
How Does it Feel Living Life In Reverse?
“But it made you stronger... I was a child. I didn’t need to be stronger. I needed
to be safe.”
- Stacy Kaiser
“It’s normal to be uncomfortable around people who have traumatized you. It is
equally normal to be uncomfortable around people who support them after
you’ve spoken up.”
- Nate Postlethwait
“The worst pain is getting hurt by the person you explained your pain to.”

“The sad truth is…She never even got an apology for how she was treated, but
only got yelled at for how she reacted.”

that is said to you.”

because this world will take everything from you if you don’t take care of
yourself.”

exciting but if you never turn the page you will never know what the next
chapter holds.”
- Unknown
“The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself.”
- Maya Angelou
How Does it Feel Living Life Forward?
“Shame dies when you tell your story.”
- BeBe Finnell
“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went
through and it will be someone else’s survival guide.”
- Unknown
“Sometimes God closes doors because it’s time to move forward. He knows
you won’t move unless your circumstances force you. Trust the transition.
God got you!”
- Unknown
“Overthinking will kill your peace. Pray and leave it to God.”
- I Peter 5:7
“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed
until it is faced.”
